The Cedar Rapids Washington girls tennis team won the Class 2A regional title Saturday with a 5-0 conquest of Iowa City West at the Kennedy courts.
The Warriors reached the finals by blanking Kennedy in the semifinals, 5-0.
Washington did not lose a set the entire day.
Hannah Sherman, Rina Moore, Kelly King, Jennifer Grief and Callie Cook won their matches against Kennedy and Iowa City West. Lilly Hartman did not get to finish either of her matches at No. 1 singles for Washington, because the meet ended when the Warriors got their fifth point.
Washington will face Iowa City High in the opening round of the state tournament at 3 p.m. Tuesday at North Scott.
