KANSAS CITY - Mount Mercy senior Dondre Osborne has been selected to compete in the NAIA all-star basketball game at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City on Saturday, March 21.
Osborne, a 6-foot-1 guard, helped Mount Mercy win the Midwest Collegiate Conference titles this season and was named the MVP of the league. The Mustangs are currently competing in the NAIA Division II national tournament.
Osborne is averaging 14.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.5 steals for the Mustangs (27-4).
The NAIA all-star game will feature 10 players from NAIA Division II schools against 10 players from NAIA Division I schools.
The all-star game will be held in conjunction with the NAIA Division I national tournament in Kansas City.
The other members of the Division II all-star team are Adam Arciniega of Bethel, DeForest Carter of Embry-Riddle, Demetrius Perkins of College of Idaho, Jack Krieger Saint of Xavier (Ill.), Marco Kovacevic of College of Idaho, Tim Weber of Southern Oregon, Timothy Mitchell of Southeastern (Fla.), Tony Smith of Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) and Eric Thompson of Southern Oregon.
