Rhoads wins high jump for Cougars

WATERLOO - Willie Rhoads of Kennedy won the high jump Tuesday at the Gordy Yuska Wahawk Relays in Waterloo with a leap of 6 feet, 4 inches.

The Cougars also won the 4x200 relay and finished fourth in the team standings in a strong field of 16 squads.

John Koelling finished second in the 200 meter dash for Kennedy, Famiek Cook took second in the long jump and the Cougars also placed second in the shuttle hurdle relay.

Joe Berry was the runnerup in the 3200 meter run for the Washington Warriors, who finished eighth in the standings.
