Bohannon's 27 points lead Lions past East, 76-64

WATERLOO - Jordan Bohannon scored 27 points and Nic Uhlir and Lane Halupnik combined for 25 to power Linn-Mar past Waterloo East, 76-64, Friday night in a boys basketball game at East.

Bohannon knocked down three 3-pointers, and Uhlir and Halupnik added two apiece.

Linn-Mar outscored East 39-27 in the second half to break away from a 37-all tie at halftime.

Lions drubbed by No.3 Rams, 66-41

Linn-Mar Coach Chris Robertson missed Tuesday night's basketball game against Dubuque Senior with the flu, but if he pulled himself together and watched the game on KCRG 9.2 it probably didn't make him feel any better.

The third-ranked Rams, featuring four college-bound athletes in their starting lineup, ripped the Lions 66-41 in a Mississippi Valley Conference game at Linn-Mar.

Linn-Mar did not make a field goal in the entire first quarter and trailed, 20-4, after the initial eight minutes. They never got closer than 13 points the rest of the night.

Uhlir's 32 points lead Lions past No.6 SE Polk

PLEASANT HILL - Nic Uhlir dropped in six 3-pointers and scored 32 points to help Linn-Mar to a 67-63 overtime win Saturday over No.6 Southeast Polk in a non-conference boys basketball game.

Jordan Bohannon added 19 points for Linn-Mar (2-2).

There were 54 fouls called in the the game. Linn-Mar outscored Southeast Polk 24-21 at the free-throw line.

Carter Wright scored 21 points for Southeast Polk (4-1).

Linn-Mar belts Jeff as Olson sits

Linn-Mar guard Jordan Bohannon was disappointed Friday night when he came out for warmups and learned that Jacob Olson would not be playing for Jefferson due to a sprained ankle.

The J-Hawks were disappointed, too.

Bohannon popped in a smooth 20 points and the Lions waltzed past the J-Hawks, 61-33, in a Mississippi Valley Conference game at the Jefferson gym.

Lions tripped by Bettendorf, 65-51

BETTENDORF - The Linn-Mar Lions popped in six 3-pointers in the first half Saturday and owned a 27-25 lead over the Bettendorf Bulldogs at intermission, but the good times did not last.

Bettendorf took control in the second half and defeated the Lions, 65-51, in a non-conference boys basketball game in Bettendorf.

Nic Uhlir hit five 3-pointers and scored 15 points for Linn-Mar (0-2). Jordan Bohannon and Lane Halupnik had 11 points apiece.
