SIOUX CITY — Kiah Stokes scored 37 points, grabbed 19 rebounds and blocked 10 shots Saturday (Dec. 11) to lead Class 4A No. 3 Linn-Mar past No. 7 Sioux City North, 62-41, in a non-conference girls’ basketball game.

Linn-Mar (7-0) also got 10 points from Mykaela Brandt and nine from Jenna Eells.Stokes, who has signed to play for top-ranked Connecticut in college, made 18 of 23 shots and had her second triple-double in as many days. She had 39 points, 17 rebounds and 10 blocks Friday in the Lions’ win over Heelan.

The Lions broke the game open with a 12-0 run over the final four minutes of the first half. They led, 32-14 at halftime.

North (4-2) shot only 21 percent and lost for the second time in as many days. The Stars were beaten by No. 6 Washington on Friday.
