DUBUQUE - The struggles continued for the Linn-Mar girls basketball team Tuesday night.
Dubuque Hempstead handed the Lions their sixth straight defeat, 49-40, in a Mississippi Valley Conference game in Dubuque.
Hempstead (4-8, 2-7) snapped a five-game losing streak. Linn-Mar (6-7, 3-6) has not won a game since topping Cedar Falls on Dec. 13.
Hannah Yearling led Linn-Mar with eight points. The Lions trailed, 20-11, at halftime.
