Jimmy Roth had four hits and drove in three runs to lead Linn-Mar to a doubleheader sweep of Dubuque Senior, 6-1 and 5-4, Friday night in Mississippi Valley Conference baseball doubleheader.

Roth was 2-for-3 in each game. He hit a solo home run and had an RBI single in the opener, and added an RBI single in the nightcap.

Austin Stroschein allowed one run over four innings and picked up the win in the opener. Justin Wyant held Dubuque senior hitless over the final three innings, walked one and struck out six.

Stroschein had an RBI single in the first inning that tied the game, 1-1.

Wyant's RBI single in the second inning broke the tie.

Roth had an RBI single in the third and homer leading off the Lions' two-run fifth.

Linn-Mar's three-run third inning erased a 2-1 deficit in the nightcap. Austin Banks had a two-run double and Roth's RBI siingle made it 4-2.

Jack Strellner's sacrifice fly plated what proved to be the winning run in the fifth inning.

Banks was 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead the Lions' 10-hit attack.
