Jordan Stroschein got the Linn-Mar Lions off to a fast start Wednesday night in their 13-3 victory over Clinton.
Stroschein hit a two-run homer and a three-run double, all in the first inning, as the Lions scored 11 times to begin the game.
"Pretty good first inning," said Linn-Mar Coach Chad Lechner.
Ben Larison went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs for the Lions (7-5).
The Lions scored twice in the bottom of the fifth to end the game by the 10-run rule.
