Linn-Mar boys bowlers hold off Warriors

Linn-Mar built an early lead then held off Washington's rally to beat the Warriors, 3033-3015, Friday in boys bowling at Cedar Rapids Bowl.

Dreyson Robe shot a 443 series, Justin Wyant a 414 and Tristan Stevens a 405 in the first round that helped Linn-Mar to a 41-pin lead.

But Washington rallied back in the Baker round and trailed by just three pins after three games. Linn-Mar posted a 30-pin win in the fourth round, 259-229. Washington won the last game, 225-210.

Quincy Bruce led Washington with games of 237 and 212 for a 449 series.

The game and series of the day were shot in the junior varsity match. Linn-Mar's Trent Jochimsen shot a 287 game and 493 series.

Linn-Mar bowlers roll over Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS - Justin Wyant rolled a two-game series of 466 Tuesday and Dreyson Robe posted a 462 as Linn-Mar splattered Cedar Falls in a Mississippi Valley Conferece meet by a score of 3,146 to 2,548 at Valley Park Lanes.

Andrew Prowse bowled a 430 series and Tristan Stevens added a 426 as the Lions posted the top four scores of the day. Wyant had the best game with a 259.

Lion boys bowlers fall to Waterloo West

WATERLOO -- Linn-Mar battled back from a 243-pin deficit, but could not overtake Waterloo West in boys bowling Tuesday at Maple Lanes.

Behind a 289 high game and 504 series by Michael Greve, West downed Linn-Mar, 3057-2926.

Dreyson Robe led Linn-Mar (4-3) with a 223 high game and 435 series. Justin Wyant shot a 412 series.

Waterloo West won its first meet of the season. The Wahawks are 1-7.

Linn-Mar boys roll over Kennedy, 3163-2548

The Linn-Mar boys had the ball rolling Friday afternoon at Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.

Seth Tegtmeier, Justin Wyant and Dreyson Robe all rolled 400 series for the Lions and they demolished Kennedy, 3163-2548.

Wyant had high game with a 244 and had a 448 series. Robe rolled high series with a 450 and had a high game of 234. Tegtmeier rolled a 438 and 236 high game.

Linn-Mar also got high games of 220 and 215 from Matt Wheeton and Andrew Prowse, respectively.

Justin Smith led Kennedy with a 203 high game and 372 series.
