Linn-Mar - Boys Bowling
Dreyson Robe was hot Friday, rolling games of 233 and 223 for a 456 series, to lead Linn-Mar to a 3103-2492 pasting of Cedar Falls in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys bowling match at Cedar Rapids Bowl.
Justin Wyant rolled a 226 game and 417 series for Linn-Mar (7-4, 6-2 MVC). Tristan Stevens, Corey Prokop and Matt Wheaton rolled high games of 204, 202 and 200, respectively.
Cedar Falls is 2-9, 1-7.

Linn-Mar spotted Waterloo West a 67-pin lead after the first round by outscoring the Wahawks by 190 pins in the Baker round en route to a 3111-2978 boys bowling win at Cedar Rapids Bowling Center Friday.
The Lions (6-4, 5-2 Mississippi Valley Conference) rolled four Baker games of 202 or more, including a 280, to rally for the win.
Justin Wyant had a high game of 239 for Linn-Mar. Dreyson Robe rolled games of 203-233 for a team high series of 436. Corey Prokop also rolled a 233.
Josh Sorenson rolled high game of 244 and a 454 series for Waterloo West (3-4, 3-4).

Linn-Mar had four of its five bowlers roll 400 or better series and beat Kennedy, 3177-2978, Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.
Corey Prokop had high game (243) and series (454) for Linn-Mar (5-4, 4-2 MVC). Tristan Stevens had a 449, Tyler Lemon 434 and Matt Wheaton 402. Dreyson Robe just missed with a 396. It was a season-high score for the Lions.
Corey Williams had a 219 high game and Joe Warkel a 409 high series for Kennedy (4-7, 1-5). The five Cougar bowlers combined to roll a 300 game during the Baker round.

Dubuque Senior beat Linn-Mar by 30 pins in the final game of the match and held off the Lions, 3104-3065, Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.
Linn-Mar (4-4, 3-2 MVC) trailed Senior (4-1, 4-1) by 19 pins after the first round. The margin was still 19 after the first four games of the Baker round. Senior won the final game, 234-204, to claim the win and sole possession of the Mississippi Division.
Dreyson Robe had game (227) and series (430) highs for Linn-Mar. Tristan Stevens had a 226 game.

Linn-Mar won one of its three matches and finished tied for seventh Dec. 18 at the Prairie Invitational Baker tournament at Lancer Lanes.
Prairie lost only one game and won all five of its matches to win the tournament.
Linn-Mar opened the day with a win over Xavier. The Lions were eliminated with losses to Washington and Jefferson.
