Linn-Mar High School tight end Jacob Hutchins will be joining the football team at St. Cloud State University next season.

Hutchins plans to sign his letter-of-intent at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Media Center at Linn-Mar.

Hutchins, 6-foot-3, 200-pounds, caught 13 passes for 203 yards for the Lions (10-1) last season and was a key blocker on the offensive line. His 13 receptions were second on the team.

Hutchins received Honorable Mention on the all-Metro and all-Mississippi Valley Conference teams last season.

St. Cloud State, located in St. Cloud, Minn., finished 9-3 this fall and reached the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. The Huskies play in the Northern Sun Conference and are coached by Scott Underwood.
