Linn-Mar High School kicker Quinn Treiber has committed to play football at St. Ambrose University, Linn-Mar Coach Bob Forsyth confirmed Monday.

Treiber becomes the fifth member of the 2011 Lions to commit to a college football program. He joins quarterback Mark Atwater (Coe), linebacker John Conner (Coe), tight end Jacob Hutchins (St. Cloud State) and lineman Dustin Smith (Central).

Treiber, 5-8, 165, converted 51 of 53 PATs last season for the Lions and was 7 for 7 on field goals, with a long of 42 yards. He had 18 touchbacks out of 75 kickoffs and also punted 16 times for a 33.0-yard average.

Linn-Mar finished 10-1 last season and lost in the second round of the playoffs.

The St. Ambrose Bees, an NAIA school, finished 7-3 last year and 5-2 in their conference.
