Jason Gingrich and Austin Burbridge scored goals Monday night as the Linn-Mar Lions nipped Dubuque Wahlert, 3-2, in a Mississippi Valley Conference soccer match at Linn-Mar.

Linn-Mar is ranked No.14 in Class 3A and Wahlert is ranked No.1 in Class 2A.

Linn-Mar's third goal was accidentally put into the net by a Wahlert player and ultimately was the difference in the game.

Jordan Webb collected an assist for the Lions.

Nick Nemmers and Alex Perry scored for Wahlert.
