MUSCATINE -- Ryan Gingrich's goal with about six minutes left lifted Linn-Mar past Muscatine, 1-0, Friday night in a non-conference soccer game.

The Lions (5-7) bounced back from a tough 2-1 shootout loss to Kennedy on Thursday.

The winning goal came after a foul was called against Muscatine at the top of the 18-yard box. The Lions executed a set piece and Michael Zimmerman popped a pass to Gingrich, who slid it past the keeper.
