The Linn-Mar High School boys soccer team dropped a pair of tight Mississippi Valley Conference games at Linn-Mar Stadium on Saturday.

Prairie nipped the Lions, 2-1, in the morning contest. Connor Johnson scored for Linn-Mar, with assists from Justin Green and Jason Gingrich.

Xavier blanked the Lions, 1-0, in the afternoon match. The Saints are ranked No. 3 in Class 2A.
