Linn-Mar shocks Kennedy in boys soccer

Connor Johnson scored two goals to lead Linn-Mar to a 2-1 upset of No. 14 Kennedy in boys soccer Thursday at Linn-Mar.

Linn-Mar is 5-11 overall, 4-7 in the MVC.

Kennedy is 7-6, 6-5.

IOWA CITY -- Second-ranked Iowa City High shutout Linn-Mar, 3-0, Tuesday in MVC soccer.

Linn-Mar is 4-11 overall, 3-7 in the MVC.

Linn-Mar kickers trimmed by No. 1 team

IOWA CITY - The Linn-Mar boys soccer team pushed No. 1 Iowa City West into double-overtime Thursday before falling, 3-2, in a Mississippi Valley Conference game in Iowa City.

Connor Johnson and Joe Talley scored goals for the Lions. Johnson collected an assist on the goal by Talley.

Linn-Mar beats Wash, falls to Jeff

Linn-Mar split a pair of boys soccer games Saturday.

The Lions got goals from Justin Green and Conner Johnson, and assists from Eric Pfau and Avery Meyer, and beat Washington, 2-0, at Kingston Stadium.

Linn-Mar dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision to Jefferson at lower Kingston.

The Lions are 4-9 overall and 3-5 in the MVC.

Lions trimmed by Wahlert in soccer

The Linn-Mar boys soccer team was defeated by Dubuque Wahlert, 3-2, in a Mississippi Valley Conference game at the Linn-Mar Stadium Tuesday night.

Eric Pfau and Jared Slagle scored goals for the Lions. Jason Gingrich and Joao Travesso picked up the assists.

Linn-Mar is 3-8 overall and 2-4 in the MVC.
