The Linn-Mar Lions raised their record to 16-15 by winning three games at the Linn-Mar/Alburnett softball tournament Friday and Saturday.
The Lions suffered their only loss in the tournament to Northeast Goose Lake, 11-1, before winning three straight contests.
Linn-Mar collected 16 hits in an 11-1 victory over New Hampton. Kelsey Duggan went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored. Alexis Kelsey was 3-for-3 with two doubles. Maddy Ryan was 3-for-4. Cheyenne Hansen and Maggie Rizor had two hits, and Hansen tossed a four-hitter for the victory on the mound.
The Lions scored five runs in the fifth inning and topped Center Point-Urbana, 5-2, as Rizor slugged a grand slam. Kelsey pitched a complete game for the victory and Duggan had two hits.
Hansen went 4-for-4 and was the winning pitcher as Linn-Mar defeated Springville, 11-2. She finished with three doubles and three RBIs. Maddy Ryan hit a solo home run and finished with two hits. Duggan, Kelsey and Hannah Yearling also had two hits.
