VAN HORNE - Levi Lochner pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts Monday as the Marion Indians upset No.2 Benton Community, 2-0, in the first game of a Wamac Conference doubleheader in Van Horne.

Benton Community won the second game, 3-2.

Christian Stekl and Logan Fuller had RBIs in the first game for Marion (3-8, 3-5). Trevor Hardman went 2-for-2 for the Indians.

Nate Woeste scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Benton Community the victory in the nightcap.

Marion had a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning of the second game, but John McFarland tied the game with a two-run, two-out single.

Quinn Cannoy allowed only four hits for Marion in the second game. Freshman Gage Kray had two hits for the Indians.
