Marion High School shortstop Zach Nielsen has joined the growing legion of Metro athletes who will get a chance to play baseball in college.

Nielsen has signed with Century College, which is a junior college in White Bear Lake, Minn.

Nielsen hit .390 for Marion last season with three homers and 29 RBIs. He also played football, soccer and bowling for the Indians during his four-sport career.
