They broke out the wood bats Wednesday night at Marion and Mitch Wagner couldn't have been more happy.
Wagner was 4-for-4 and drove in three runs to lead Marion past North Cedar, 9-5, in a baseball game where the batters only used wood bats.
Marion collected 11 hits. Zach Nielsen and Andrew Charipar had two hits apiece. Nielsen also drove in two runs.
Josh Davila was the winning pitcher.
