WILLIAMSBURG - The surging Marion Indians swept a Wamac Conference doubleheader at Williamsburg Thursday.
The Indians won the first game, 7-2, and took the nightcap, 10-3.
Sophomore Levi Lochner made his first varsity start for Marion (9-8, 6-7) in the opener and pitched a five-hitter, going the distance.
Zach Nielsen was 4-for-4 and slugged a home run for the Indians in the first game. Mitch Wagner hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning to help Marion take the lead.
Tyler Hedtke and Nick Connolly shared the pitching for the Indians in the second game. Nielsen and Dusty Albaugh both had three hits.
Nielsen went 7-for-9 in the twinbill and drove in six runs.
