VAN HORNE - The Marion Indians swept a Wamac Conference doubleheader from Benton Community Monday night at Benton.

The Indians grabbed the opener, 6-5, and won the nightcap, 13-6.

Dusty Albaugh and Zach Nielsen slugged home runs for Marion (11-8, 8-7) in the first game. Kasey Semler went 3-for-3. Tyler Hedtke got the victory and Levi Lochner notched the save.

Albaugh and Addison Johnson hit home runs for Marion in the second game and Semler got two more hits. Nick Connolly was the winning pitcher.

Marion has won seven straight games. The Indians play a doubleheader at Mount Vernon on Thursday.
