The Marion Indians can hammer a baseball.

The Indians collected 31 hits and scored 30 runs Wednesday night and crushed Anamosa in a Wamac Conference doubleheader at Marion.

Marion won the first game, 18-3, in four innings and captured the nightcap, 12-1, in six innings.

The surging Indians, who have won 14 of their last 15 games, are 18-9 overall and 14-7 in the Wamac.

Andrew Charipar went 4-for-4 in the opener, Josh Davila was 3-for-3 and Kasey Semler hit a home run.

Marion won the second game on a walkoff homer by Andrew Charipar in the bottom of the sixth, stopping the game by the 15-run rule. Zach Nielsen had three hits and three RBIs. Mitch Wagner had two hits, including a triple, and Charipar drove in four runs.
