The Marion Indians defeated North Cedar, 10-4, in their annual Wood Bat baseball game at Marion on Wednesday night.
Both clubs put their metal bats aside for this contest and used wood bats, supplied courtesy of Perfect Game USA.
Trev Biery went 4-for-4 and drove in five runs for the Indians. Mitch Wagner went 3-for-4 and scored three runs. Joshua Davila collected two RBIs.
Nick Connolly pitched five innings to get the victory, despite allowing seven walks. Christian Stekl struck out four batters in the last two innings in relief.
