Oelwein holds on to beat Indians

Oelwein built a 44-pin lead in the first round and held on to beat Marion in a triangular girls’ bowling meet Dec. 14 at Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.

Oelwein finished with 2247 points. Marion had 2202. DeWitt Central was third with 1953.

Joiah Banfield led Marion in high game (173) and series (319). Taylor Lamm was close with a 167 and 317.

OELWEIN (2247): West 158-315, Derifield 186-340, Goodall 145-289, Dugan 139-272, Payne 147-288.

MARION (2202): Jessica Bartz 135-235, Joiah Banfield 173-319, Juliah Banfield 161-286, Stephanie Loesel 154-303, Taylor Lamm 167-317.

DEWITT CENTRAL (1953): Shank 126-247, Nevenhaven 175-305, Barken 133-262, Daniels 193-315, Dammeier 105-207.
