Indians' rally trips Columbus

Marion rallied from a 33-pin deficit to beat Waterloo Columbus, 2177-2160, Tuesday in a girls bowling meet at Cedar Rapids Bowl.

Stephanie Loesel had high game and series for Marion with a 170-337.

Columbus held a 1451-1418 lead after the first round, but was outscored by the Indians 759-709 in the Baker round.

COLUMBUS (2160): Hallie Kuchera 146-288, Nicole Boldt 130-245, Melissa Eisenbacher 118-218, Emily Gilstrap 178-323, Jody Schares 202-377.

MARION (2177): Jessica Bartz 113-212, Joiah Banfield 162-271, Juliah Banfield 155-284, Stephanie Loesel 170-337, Taylor Lamm 168-314.

First round -- Columbus 1451, Marion 1418. Baker round -- Marion 759, Columbus 709.
