TIPTON - Lukas Mees was the winner and paced Marion to a second-place finish Tuesday at the Tipton Invitational boys cross country meet.

Mees ran the course in 16 minutes, 19 seconds.

Mount Vernon won the team race. Marion tied with Tipton for second, but beat out the Tigers when No. 6 runner Jordan Garthwaite finished ahead of Tipton's No. 6 runner.
