INDEPENDENCE -- Steen Irish and Colton Storla scored goals to lift Marion past Independence, 2-1, Tuesday in a Wamac Conference boys soccer game.

The win was the eighth straight to start the season for Marion. The Class 2A No. 13 Indians are 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the Wamac.
