LEGRAND - The Marion Indians squared their record at 6-6 Saturday with a pair of victories at the East Marshall softball tournament.

Marion defeated West Marshall, 5-1, and dumped BGM, 12-2.

Haley Vanourney pitched a complete game and allowed only five hits against West Marshall. Marissa Whitney and Beth Knapp drove in two runs. Whitney was 2-for-3 at the plate.

Paige Perkins went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs against BGM. Vanourney went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Haley Dullea was 3-for-4 and scored twice.

Knapp drove in two more runs against BGM. Michalyn Mohr, Bayley Fuller and Mahlia Brown had two hits.

Bre Smith tossed a complete game against BGM. She allowed only three hits and struck out four batters.
