Marion High School senior Leah Smith will play college softball at St. Ambrose University in Davenport.

Smith, a shortstop, hit .361 for Marion last year with 43 hits in 35 games. She drove in 18 runs.

St. Ambrose University is an NAIA school that plays in the Midwest Collegiate Conference. St. Ambrose finished 10-29 this season.

Smith has participated in softball, basketball, cross country and track at Marion High School.
