The Marion Indians lost to Grundy Center, 25-17, 25-7, in the semifinals of the Marion High School volleyball tournament Saturday.

The Indians went 2-1 in pool play to reach the semifinals. They defeated North Linn, 21-7, 21-15, and whipped Durant, 21-16, 21-15. They got nipped by Union, 21-19, 21-18.

The Xavier Saints won the consolation finals with a 25-14, 25-13 conquest of Durant. They advanced to the consolation finals with a forfeit over North Linn.

The Saints went 1-2 in pool play with a victory over Cascade, 21-12, 19-21, 15-12. The Saints lost to Benton Community, 11-21, 22-20, 17-15, and were downed by Grundy Center, 21-10, 21-8.

Grundy Center defeated Union for the championship, 25-16, 25-15.
