The Marion Indians defeated Dyersville Beckman, 20-25, 26-24, 15-11, in the quarterfinals of the Wamac Conference volleyball tournament Thursday night at Marion.

The Indians gave second-ranked Solon a good battle in the semifinals before falling, 25-20, 25-21, to tie for third place in the 16-team tournament.

Solon defeated No.4 West Delaware for the title, 18-25, 26-24, 15-11.
