No. 4 Pleasant Valley overwhelms Hawks

Prairie scored only eight points in the second half Tuesday night (Dec. 21) and lost a non-conference girls basketball game to fourth-ranked Pleasant Valley, 67-34, at Prairie.

Prairie trailed by eight points at halftime, 34-26, but got outscored 33-8 in the second half.

Alisa Weiland led the Hawks (2-6) with nine points. Stacy Clark paced Pleasant Valley with 17 points.

PLEASANT VALLEY (67): Strawser 4 2-2 12, L. Jipp 3 0-0 8, Lindstrom 1 2-2 4, A. Jipp 2 0-0 6, Bell 1 0-2 2, Rockey 1 0-1 2, Dwyer 0 1-2 1, Clark 7 3-8 17, Miller 2 2-2 6, Bueker 1 1-1 3, Doyle 3 0-0 6. Totals 25 11-20 67.

PRAIRIE (34): Yanecek 1 1-4 3, Carver 2 1-6 5, Crist 1 0-0 2, Weiland 3 0-0 9, Wieland 3 1-2 7, Blaha 1 0-0 3, Dellamuth 2 0-0 5. Totals 13 3-12 34.
