Cedar Rapids Prairie sophomore Madison Dellamuth tore the ACL in her left knee last Tuesday against Xavier in the regional finals of the Class 4A basketball tournament, Prairie Coach Steve Doser said Monday.

Dellamuth will have an operation in late March, but will have physical therapy first. It's not known yet if she'll be ready to play when the 2012-13 season begins in November.

Dellamuth, a 5-foot-6 point guard, averaged 10.8 points, 5 assists and 2.5 steals this season. She is being recruited by college basketball programs.
