Prairie girls clip Tigers in OT

Adelaide Bayne booted home the game-winner in double overtime Thursday as Class 2A No. 15 Prairie trimmed Cedar Falls, 2-1, in a Mississippi Valley Conference soccer match at Prairie.

Prairie took an early 1-0 lead when Meleah Baloch scored after just 1 minute, 20 seconds of the first half. Cedar Falls tied the game, 1-1, late in the second half to force overtime.

There was a scramble in front of the net on a corner kick by Prairie in the second overtime period and Bayne was able to end the match.
