Jacqui Duvall and Maddie Rainey won singles matches for Prairie Monday, but Dubuque Hempstead trimmed the Hawks 5-4 in a Mississippi Valley Conference tennis meet at Prairie.

Duvall won 10-2 at No.4 singles and Rainey prevailed 10-7 at No.5 singles.

Prairie hosts Waterloo East on Tuesday in the first round of the Class 2A regional team tennis tournament.
