Prairie blitzed Waterloo East, 5-0, in a Class 2A first round regional team tennis meet Tuesday at Prairie.

East did not score a point against Prairie. The Hawks won every match by 6-0, 6-0 counts.

Prairie advances to Saturday's regional semifinals and finals at Iowa City West. The Hawks face the host Women of Troy at 9 a.m.  If they win, they play either Ottumwa or Waterloo West at 2 p.m.

Prairie won all six singles matches, but the official score is 5-0. According to state rules, meets end once a team reaches five wins.
