Washington junior Dani Franklin has been named a first team basketball all-stater by the Iowa Girls' Coaches Association (IGCA) it was announced Thursday.

Four other Metro players also earned third team honors.

Franklin was named to the Class 5A first team. She helped the Warriors to a 17-7 record and state tournament berth.

Xavier's Kayla Armstrong and Ashley Stulken were named to the Class 4A third team. The Saints won the Class 4A state title and Armstrong was captain of the all-tournament team.

Marion's Michalyn Mohr also was named to the Class 4A third team.

Prairie's Madison Dellamuth was a third team selection in Class 5A.

Xavier's Tom Lilly was Class 4A coach of the year.
