Warriors fall on last second hoop

 Jennifer Keitel scored with 16 seconds left Saturday to give DeWitt Central a 43-42 victory over Washington on Rivalry Saturday at the U.S. Cellular Center.

Keitel, a 6-foot-2 center who has signed with the University of Northern Iowa, blocked a shot by Washington's Janay Pritchett in the final seconds to preserve the victory.

Keitel led DeWitt Central (14-2) with 21 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots. Lindsay Smith, a 5-10 guard who has signed with Wisconsin, collected 15 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists despite foul problems.

Alissa Oney led Washington (12-3) with 11 points. Tia Dawson finished with eight points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots.

DeWitt Central is ranked No.7 in Class 3A, while Washington is ranked No.5 in Class 4A.
