Eighth grader Johnny Dobbs slugged a two-run homer Tuesday night as Cedar Rapids Washington trimmed Davenport Central, 7-4, in a non-conference baseball game at Washington.
Grant Dostal scattered seven hits over 6 2/3 innings and got the victory for the Warriors (9-29). A.J. Puk struck out the final Davenport Central (13-20) batter with runners on second and third for the save.
Noah Dostal had three hits and scored three runs for Washington. Noah Burdt had a double and three RBIs. Dobbs finished with two hits.
