The Washington Warriors won four of the top-five singles matches Thursday and clipped Kennedy, 6-3, in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls tennis meet at Kennedy.

Jackie Pedersen won the No.1 singles match for the Cougars, but Kristin King, Olivia Brooks, Rina Moore and Lanie Sabin won the next four matches for Washington.

The Warriors captured No.1 doubles and No.2 doubles to secure the victory.
