The Xavier Saints dropped five spots to No.9 this week in the Class 4A baseball poll, conducted by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.
The Saints (13-8) have won four straight games, but had lost eight of 14 games prior to turning it around.
The Prairie Hawks, who have the best record in the Metro at 16-6, are not ranked. Prairie leads the Valley Division in the MVC with an 11-3 mark and is three games ahead of Xavier in the Valley standings.
Prairie defeated top-ranked Ankeny last week and has won seven straight games.
Ankeny is ranked No.1 again this week, followed by Iowa City West and West Des Moines Valley.
