Xavier High School senior tackle William Wright has decided to continue his football career in college at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs.

Wright will sign a national letter of intent Wednesday to play for the Reivers.

Wright, who also wrestles at Xavier, was first team all-conference in the Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division and an All-Metro selection as a senior. He also was named second team all state by both the Iowa Newspaper Association and Des Moines Register.

Wright is the second Metro prep to choose Iowa Western. He will be joined by Washington tackle Paul Nash.

The Reivers were 9-2 last season and finished the campaign ranked seventh in the country.
