Saints demolish East in home finale, 17-1

Lucy Martin scored three goals, and Lexi Erger, Kayla Armstrong and Sarah Chicchelly had two apiece and Xavier demolished Waterloo East, 17-1, Tuesday in girls soccer at Xavier.

Also scoring goals were Kylie Hermesch, Sarah Dickes, Sammi Shepard, Lizzy McWhinney, Monica Busse, Lizzy Bailey, Sydney Wright and Brylee Bastain.

Xavier scored all of its goals in the first half. Seniors, playing their final regular season game at home, scored a combined 14 goals.

Armstrong, Bailey goals lead Saints

Kayla Armstrong and Lizzy Bailey scored two goals apiece and No.1 Xavier rocked Dubuque Wahlert, 5-2, Monday in girls soccer at Xavier.

Sydney Wright also scored a goal for the Saints.

Armstrong also had two assists. Grace McDermott, Marisa Berutti and Lizzy McWhinney also had assists.

Armstrong's goal in 2nd OT lifts Saints

Kayla Armstrong's goal on a free kick with a minute left in the second overtime lifted No.1 Xavier past Prairie, 2-1, Thursday night in girls soccer at Prairie.

Armstrong scored both of Xavier's goals.

Hayley Moyle scored for Prairie.

Armstrong's winning goal was set up by a foul call outside of the penalty box.
