IOWA CITY -- The Xavier Saints lost a Mississippi Valley Conference softball doubleheader at Iowa City West on Tuesday, 10-0 in five innings and 11-6.

Iowa City West is ranked No.5 in Class 5A, while Xavier is ranked No.9 in Class 4A.

Syd Galligan was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two stolen bases in the nightcap for the Saints and finished the twinbill with three hits. Allison 2-for-3 with a triple and scored two runs in the second game.
