The Xavier Saints got tight pitching Thursday night and swept a Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheader from Dubuque Wahlert, 6-0 and 6-2, at Xavier.

Jacey Wiebold tossed a shutout in the opener with eight strikeouts. Syd Galligan went 4-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs scored. Jenna Schulte was 2-for-3 with a double, home run, two runs and three RBIs.

Erin Drahozal pitched a six-hitter with three strikeouts in the nightcap for Xavier. She also went 3-for-4 with a double. Allison Feltes and Allison Schwach were 2-for-3.
