CEDAR FALLS - The Xavier Saints continued their flirtation with .500 softball Thursday by splitting a Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheader at Cedar Falls.

Xavier won the opener, 7-4, as Allison Schwach went 3-for-5 and Sydney Galligan was 2-for-4. Jacey Wiebold got the victory with five strikeouts.

Cedar Falls won the second game, 9-6. Schwach went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Erin Drahozal took the loss.

The split left the Saints at 12-12 overall and 10-10 in the MVC. Cedar Falls ended the day at 9-17 overall and 6-14 in the league.
