The Xavier Saints climbed above the .500 mark Friday by winning two games at the Linn-Mar/Alburnett softball tournament.

Erin Drahozal pitched a strong game as the Saints defeated Springville, 7-1. Jamie Feltes and Morgan Breitbach both went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Jacey Wiebold tossed a shutout as Xavier blanked Jesup, 10-0. Allison Schwach and Sydney Galligan both went 3-for-4. Haley Deutmeyer and Drahozel were both 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

The Saints raised their record to 14-12.
