The Xavier girls tennis team split a pair of Mississippi Valley Conference meets Saturday on the road.

The Saints were edged by Waterloo West, 5-4, then bounced back to beat Cedar Falls, 5-4.

West held a 4-2 lead after singles, with Claire Bouchard and Devin Hayes accounting for Xavier's two wins.

The Saints took two of three doubles matches.

Xavier split its singles matches against Cedar Falls, and again won two of three doubles matches.

Allison Jasper, Claire Bouchard and Jeanne Bouchard won singles matches against the Tigers.
