Xavier whipped Dubuque Senior then found itself on the short end of the racquet in its second match, losing to Dubuque Wahlert, Saturday in a pair of Mississippi Valley Conference girls tennis meets at Xavier.

The Saints beat Dubuque Senior, 9-0, but were beaten by Wahlert, 8-1.

The doubles team of Sarah Chalhoub  and Taylor O'Brien won twice for Xavier. Both girls also won once in singles.
